Attorney review is pending. Open items for counsel are tracked in docs/legal/SOURCES.md.These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of therewrite.io (the "Site"), operated by The Rewrite LLC ("The Rewrite," "we," "us," or "our"), an Arizona business.
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. Scope of these Terms
These Terms govern the public Site and its informational content. They do not by themselves create a coaching relationship, require us to accept you as a client, or state the complete terms of any coaching engagement.
Any paid engagement must be governed by a separate written agreement. That includes The Corporate Reset 12-week private coaching program, group programs, corporate workshops, employer-sponsored coaching, executive coaching, and any future retreat or digital product. The separate agreement addresses scope, schedule, fees, payment, confidentiality, cancellation, rescheduling, refunds, and termination. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms regarding the engagement, the separate agreement controls.
The Site accepts no payments. No price, cancellation fee, refund promise, or purchase policy is stated or implied in these Terms.
2. About the Site and coaching information
The Site provides general information about The Rewrite and its coaching services. Coaching is a collaborative process intended to support reflection, practical planning, and accountability.
Coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or crisis care, and it is not legal, financial, tax, or any other licensed professional advice. It creates no therapist-client or doctor-patient relationship and carries no legal privilege.
Some of what we discuss — workload, exhaustion, boundaries, and capacity — sits adjacent to mental health. That adjacency does not make it clinical care. Where a situation calls for clinical support, we will say so and, where we can, suggest that you seek a licensed professional. We may decline or end an engagement that requires care beyond the scope of coaching.
The Site is not an emergency service and is not monitored for urgent requests. If you are experiencing an emergency or believe you or someone else may be in danger, contact your local emergency service or a qualified professional immediately.
3. No guarantees; your responsibility
Descriptions of possible outcomes on the Site are illustrative, not promises. Individual circumstances, participation, decisions, and results vary. The Rewrite does not guarantee any particular personal, professional, health, relationship, employment, financial, or business outcome, including any specific improvement in burnout, capacity, compensation, role, or career trajectory.
Where the Site includes client stories, testimonials, or examples, they describe those individuals' experiences and are not a representation of typical results.
Assessments, exercises, worksheets, and self-scoring tools offered on or through the Site — including any free capacity or readiness check — are non-clinical reflection aids. They are not diagnostic instruments, screening tools, or medical or psychological assessments, and no result they produce is a diagnosis or a professional opinion.
You remain responsible for your own choices, actions, wellbeing, and decisions about employment, health, finances, and relationships. Consult an appropriately qualified professional when a decision requires medical, mental-health, legal, financial, tax, or other licensed advice.
4. Permitted use
We grant you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to access and use the Site for lawful, personal, informational purposes.
You may not:
- use the Site in violation of law or another person's rights;
- interfere with the Site's security, availability, or operation;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or related systems;
- introduce malware, automated abuse, or harmful code;
- scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Site in a manner prohibited by law or these Terms;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation; or
- reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit Site content except as authorized by us in
writing or permitted by law.
5. Intellectual property
The Site and its original text, graphics, branding, layout, frameworks, and other materials are owned by The Rewrite or used with permission, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. "The Rewrite," "The Corporate Reset," the RESET method, associated marks, and distinctive brand elements may be trademarks or service marks of The Rewrite.
Materials we provide in a coaching engagement — including maps, scripts, plans, and frameworks — are licensed for your own personal use in that engagement. They may not be redistributed, resold, or used to deliver services to others without our written permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Site content or grants permission to use our names, logos, or marks. Rights that applicable law cannot restrict, including legally protected fair use, remain unaffected.
6. Communications and submissions
If you email us or send information through the Site, you represent that you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Do not send unlawful content, confidential information belonging to your employer or another person, or sensitive information that is unnecessary for an initial inquiry.
You retain ownership of material you send. You authorize us to receive, store, review, and use it only as reasonably necessary to respond, evaluate your request, operate the business, comply with law, and protect legal rights, as described in our Privacy Policy.
An inquiry does not create a confidential professional relationship or obligate us to provide services. Coaching confidentiality terms are stated in a separate coaching agreement.
We do not use identifiable client situations or confidential corporate information as marketing content.
7. Third-party sites and services
The Site links to services operated by others, including Substack, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and, if approved later, an appointment-scheduling provider. Those links are provided for convenience and do not mean we control or endorse every statement, product, security practice, or policy on the external service.
Your use of a third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party sites.
8. Site availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site. We do not promise the Site will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may correct errors or change Site content without notice, but we are not obligated to update every item immediately.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." THE REWRITE DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that Site content is complete, current, or suitable for your particular circumstances. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so part of this section may not apply to you.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE REWRITE AND ITS OWNER, PERSONNEL, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SITE OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ITS CONTENT.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so part of this section may not apply to you.
11. Governing law and disputes
The Rewrite operates in Arizona, United States.
Governing law, venue, and any dispute-resolution process are set by the separate written agreement for a paid engagement. For Site use, these Terms impose no arbitration requirement, jury-trial waiver, class-action waiver, or fee-shifting provision.
12. Severability and waiver
If a court of competent jurisdiction finds a provision of these Terms unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Changes apply prospectively from that date. If applicable law requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it.
14. Entire agreement for Site use
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and The Rewrite concerning use of the public Site. They do not replace a signed coaching agreement or another written agreement that expressly governs a separate service.
